Hi, I’m Lynda.
I support people, teams, and groups to learn and work better together. I specialize in making human systems (like teams and organizations) healthier, more equitable, and more effective.
In the past decade, I have acted as a coach, facilitator, and consultant to dozens of executive directors, community leaders, and changemakers. I support individuals, teams, and groups that are navigating change and facing seemingly intractable issues. I am passionate about supporting people to turn toward each other in times of crisis. My approach is based on a deep knowledge of adult learning, group dynamics, and systems change. It also reflects my long-standing commitment to anti-oppression and social justice.
Time and time again, I’ve seen those involved in (or affected by) a challenge come up with essential insights and innovative solutions. With this in mind, I customize my approach for each unique client situation. I also use participatory processes and engagement methods. I am a fan and student of the Art of Hosting, ULab, Deep Democracy, Emergent Strategy, and Liberating Structures. These approaches invite folks to grapple with strategic issues, systemic patterns, and human dynamics, and to find new ways forward together.
I am a Certified Executive Coach (CEC) through Royal Roads University. I am also a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coach Federation. I hold a Masters of Human Systems Intervention (HSI) from Concordia University. I have a Bachelor of Arts from Simon Fraser University with a joint major in Psychology and Women’s Studies—two subjects that inform my analysis and changemaking.
I bring over 15 years of leadership experience in the not-for-profit sector. I served as the National Public Engagement Manager at the David Suzuki Foundation, Engagement Director at Vantage Point, and Board President at ArtStarts in Schools.
I am also a self-taught artist, an avid reader, and a devoted auntie. I enjoy getting my hands dirty in the garden, camping in the backcountry, and rocking the dance floor. I love nerding out about big ideas and the miraculous experience of life.
I was born in Montréal, on the lands of the Kanien’kehá:ka Nation. I am a fifth-generation settler of Irish, Scottish, and French descent who now resides on the unceded territories of the Lək̓ʷəŋən and WSÁNEĆ people. I grew up in a working-class anglophone family, and am a member of the LGBTQIA+ community. I'm always learning more about who I am and how I can be of service in the world.
